機織機×楽器の制作。

作り方をデザインすることで素材をデザインするために、機織機と楽器が組み合わさった機械を作り上げる。通常はテクスチャを織るために数パターンでしか設定できない経糸の制御をピアノの鍵盤と連動させて、ドラムセットを叩くと緯糸が織られるようにすることで、その場でセッションした曲が布地になる。果たしてどんな曲が、どんな布地になり、またこの機械のための曲が生み出されるのか。現在も進行中のプロジェクト。

Production of weaving machines and musical instruments.

In order to design the material by designing how to make it, we will create a machine that combines a loom and a musical instrument. By linking the warp thread control, which can normally be set with only a few patterns to weave the texture, with the piano keyboard so that the weft threads are woven when the drum set is hit, the song sessioned on the spot is the fabric.  What kind of song will be what kind of fabric, and what kind of song will be produced for this machine? A project that is still in progress.
